BiSeNet V2: Bilateral Network with Guided Aggregation for Real-time Semantic Segmentation

The low-level details and high-level semantics are both essential to the semantic segmentation task. However, to speed up the model inference, current approaches almost always sacrifice the low-level details, which leads to a considerable accuracy decrease. We propose to treat these spatial details and categorical semantics separately to achieve high accuracy and high efficiency for realtime semantic segmentation. To this end, we propose an efficient and effective architecture with a good trade-off between speed and accuracy, termed Bilateral Segmentation Network (BiSeNet V2). This architecture involves: (i) a Detail Branch, with wide channels and shallow layers to capture low-level details and generate high-resolution feature representation; (ii) a Semantic Branch, with narrow channels and deep layers to obtain high-level semantic context. The Semantic Branch is lightweight due to reducing the channel capacity and a fast-downsampling strategy. Furthermore, we design a Guided Aggregation Layer to enhance mutual connections and fuse both types of feature representation. Besides, a booster training strategy is designed to improve the segmentation performance without any extra inference cost. Extensive quantitative and qualitative evaluations demonstrate that the proposed architecture performs favourably against a few state-of-the-art real-time semantic segmentation approaches. Specifically, for a 2,048x1,024 input, we achieve 72.6% Mean IoU on the Cityscapes test set with a speed of 156 FPS on one NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card, which is significantly faster than existing methods, yet we achieve better segmentation accuracy.

AtlasVid: Efficient Ultra-High-Resolution Long Video Generation via Decoupled Global-Local Modeling

Recent diffusion-based video generators have achieved remarkable visual fidelity and prompt controllability, yet scaling them to ultra-high-resolution (UHR) long videos remains prohibitively expensive. The difficulty is especially pronounced for long single-shot generation where a continuous scene must preserve global temporal coherence, and fine-grained spatial details without relying on clip transitions or autoregressive shot stitching. In this work, we revisit this challenge from the perspective of decoupled modeling. We argue that existing video diffusion models already encode strong local visual priors, while the main bottleneck lies in efficiently extending global spatiotemporal modeling as resolution and duration increase. Based on this insight, we propose AtlaVid, a decoupled global-local framework for efficient UHR long video generation. AtlaVid first generates a low-resolution and low-FPS global semantic proxy via temporally scaled RoPE, thereby extending the temporal horizon without increasing the training token count. Guided by this proxy, a high-resolution detail branch performs joint denoising with hierarchical locality-preserving attention. Reordered spatiotemporal windows preserve geometric locality and asymmetric global-local attention injects aligned semantic guidance and preserves the model's pretrained ability. This design enables resolution-agnostic training: the model is trained only at 720P with lightweight LoRA adaptation, yet generalizes directly to 4K and beyond for longer (>10s) video synthesis. Experiments show that AtlaVid substantially improves the efficiency of ultra-high-resolution long video generation, achieving high-quality UHR long video generation with 60.9x speed up and significantly less training cost and even better performance than native 4K video generators.

One-Step Diffusion for Detail-Rich and Temporally Consistent Video Super-Resolution

It is a challenging problem to reproduce rich spatial details while maintaining temporal consistency in real-world video super-resolution (Real-VSR), especially when we leverage pre-trained generative models such as stable diffusion (SD) for realistic details synthesis. Existing SD-based Real-VSR methods often compromise spatial details for temporal coherence, resulting in suboptimal visual quality. We argue that the key lies in how to effectively extract the degradation-robust temporal consistency priors from the low-quality (LQ) input video and enhance the video details while maintaining the extracted consistency priors. To achieve this, we propose a Dual LoRA Learning (DLoRAL) paradigm to train an effective SD-based one-step diffusion model, achieving realistic frame details and temporal consistency simultaneously. Specifically, we introduce a Cross-Frame Retrieval (CFR) module to aggregate complementary information across frames, and train a Consistency-LoRA (C-LoRA) to learn robust temporal representations from degraded inputs. After consistency learning, we fix the CFR and C-LoRA modules and train a Detail-LoRA (D-LoRA) to enhance spatial details while aligning with the temporal space defined by C-LoRA to keep temporal coherence. The two phases alternate iteratively for optimization, collaboratively delivering consistent and detail-rich outputs. During inference, the two LoRA branches are merged into the SD model, allowing efficient and high-quality video restoration in a single diffusion step. Experiments show that DLoRAL achieves strong performance in both accuracy and speed. Code and models are available at https://github.com/yjsunnn/DLoRAL.

DreamSR: Towards Ultra-High-Resolution Image Super-Resolution via a Receptive-Field Enhanced Diffusion Transformer

Large-scale pre-trained diffusion models have been extensively adopted for real-world image Super-Resolution because of their powerful generative priors through textual guidance. However, when super-resolving high-resolution images with patch-wise inference strategy, most existing diffusion-based SR methods tend to suffer from over-generation, due to the misalignment between the global prompt from LR image and the incomplete semantic information of local patches during each inference step. On the other hand, most existing methods also failed to generate detailed texture in local patches due to the overemphasis on global generation capabilities in network designs and training strategies. To address this issue, we present DreamSR, a novel SR model that suppresses local over-generation and improves fine-detail synthesis, thereby achieving visually faithful results with ultra-high-quality details. Specifically, we propose a dual-branch MM-ControlNet, where the ControlNet generates local textual feature with patch-level prompts while the pre-trained DiT provides global textual feature with global prompts, thereby mitigating over-generation and ensuring semantic consistency across patches. We also design a comprehensive training strategy with stage-specific data processing pipelines and a Receptive-Field Enhancement strategy, enhancing the model's capability to capture patch information and effectively restore local textures. Extensive experiments demonstrate that DreamSR outperforms state-of-the-art methods, providing high-quality SR results. Code and model are available at https://github.com/jerrydong0219/DreamSR.

FS-RWKV: Leveraging Frequency Spatial-Aware RWKV for 3T-to-7T MRI Translation

Ultra-high-field 7T MRI offers enhanced spatial resolution and tissue contrast that enables the detection of subtle pathological changes in neurological disorders. However, the limited availability of 7T scanners restricts widespread clinical adoption due to substantial infrastructure costs and technical demands. Computational approaches for synthesizing 7T-quality images from accessible 3T acquisitions present a viable solution to this accessibility challenge. Existing CNN approaches suffer from limited spatial coverage, while Transformer models demand excessive computational overhead. RWKV architectures offer an efficient alternative for global feature modeling in medical image synthesis, combining linear computational complexity with strong long-range dependency capture. Building on this foundation, we propose Frequency Spatial-RWKV (FS-RWKV), an RWKV-based framework for 3T-to-7T MRI translation. To better address the challenges of anatomical detail preservation and global tissue contrast recovery, FS-RWKV incorporates two key modules: (1) Frequency-Spatial Omnidirectional Shift (FSO-Shift), which performs discrete wavelet decomposition followed by omnidirectional spatial shifting on the low-frequency branch to enhance global contextual representation while preserving high-frequency anatomical details; and (2) Structural Fidelity Enhancement Block (SFEB), a module that adaptively reinforces anatomical structure through frequency-aware feature fusion. Comprehensive experiments on UNC and BNU datasets demonstrate that FS-RWKV consistently outperforms existing CNN-, Transformer-, GAN-, and RWKV-based baselines across both T1w and T2w modalities, achieving superior anatomical fidelity and perceptual quality.

WADEPre: A Wavelet-based Decomposition Model for Extreme Precipitation Nowcasting with Multi-Scale Learning

The heavy-tailed nature of precipitation intensity impedes precise precipitation nowcasting. Standard models that optimize pixel-wise losses are prone to regression-to-the-mean bias, which blurs extreme values. Existing Fourier-based methods also lack the spatial localization needed to resolve transient convective cells. To overcome these intrinsic limitations, we propose WADEPre, a wavelet-based decomposition model for extreme precipitation that transitions the modeling into the wavelet domain. By leveraging the Discrete Wavelet Transform for explicit decomposition, WADEPre employs a dual-branch architecture: an Approximation Network to model stable, low-frequency advection, isolating deterministic trends from statistical bias, and a spatially localized Detail Network to capture high-frequency stochastic convection, resolving transient singularities and preserving sharp boundaries. A subsequent Refiner module then dynamically reconstructs these decoupled multi-scale components into the final high-fidelity forecast. To address optimization instability, we introduce a multi-scale curriculum learning strategy that progressively shifts supervision from coarse scales to fine-grained details. Extensive experiments on the SEVIR and Shanghai Radar datasets demonstrate that WADEPre achieves state-of-the-art performance, yielding significant improvements in capturing extreme thresholds and maintaining structural fidelity. Our code is available at https://github.com/sonderlau/WADEPre.

Remote Sensing Image Segmentation Using Vision Mamba and Multi-Scale Multi-Frequency Feature Fusion

As remote sensing imaging technology continues to advance and evolve, processing high-resolution and diversified satellite imagery to improve segmentation accuracy and enhance interpretation efficiency emerg as a pivotal area of investigation within the realm of remote sensing. Although segmentation algorithms based on CNNs and Transformers achieve significant progress in performance, balancing segmentation accuracy and computational complexity remains challenging, limiting their wide application in practical tasks. To address this, this paper introduces state space model (SSM) and proposes a novel hybrid semantic segmentation network based on vision Mamba (CVMH-UNet). This method designs a cross-scanning visual state space block (CVSSBlock) that uses cross 2D scanning (CS2D) to fully capture global information from multiple directions, while by incorporating convolutional neural network branches to overcome the constraints of Vision Mamba (VMamba) in acquiring local information, this approach facilitates a comprehensive analysis of both global and local features. Furthermore, to address the issue of limited discriminative power and the difficulty in achieving detailed fusion with direct skip connections, a multi-frequency multi-scale feature fusion block (MFMSBlock) is designed. This module introduces multi-frequency information through 2D discrete cosine transform (2D DCT) to enhance information utilization and provides additional scale local detail information through point-wise convolution branches. Finally, it aggregates multi-scale information along the channel dimension, achieving refined feature fusion. Findings from experiments conducted on renowned datasets of remote sensing imagery demonstrate that proposed CVMH-UNet achieves superior segmentation performance while maintaining low computational complexity, outperforming surpassing current leading-edge segmentation algorithms.
